Our Folks . . .
Congratulations to Iris Kiesling for her over 30 years of service to our community. On her 80th birthday, December 13, she was celebrated by having the day named in her honor by Mayor John Hamilton. Iris served on both the Bloomington City Council and the Monroe County Board of Commissioners. The Herald-Times published a fine article on her work on December 14.
We celebrate Amy Makice, whose proposal for a workshop on the subject of how Relational-Cultural Theory can help in our divided climate was approved for the Unitarian Universalist General Assembly (June 2017). Please join Amy on Saturday, January 14 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for the launch (with lunch) of the Relational-Cultural Theory program here at our church. Contact the church office 812-332-3695 ext. 204 to sign up, or email [email protected].
