Friday UU Update
April 24, 2020
Unitarian Universalist Church  of Bloomington, Indiana
Thank you for your 2020-21 Pledges! Keep 'em rolling in!
Here's the link again to that easy online pledge form. We very much appreciate all the responses we've gotten! And thanks to our at-large board members who have been doing extra outreach. Our leaders are in the process of creating our budget for the coming fiscal year that starts in July, so it's important for us to know how much you are planning to give.

Our Folks...
Our hearts are with Cathy and Dick Hiatt and their family upon the passing of Cathy's mother, Dawn Sheets, on April 16. Dawn lived in Brownsburg and Avon, Indiana, and enjoyed quilting, baking, gardening, and making clothes for her family. She was the mother of four daughters and was 93 years old. Cards can be sent to Cathy at home.
PayPal Available for Donations
We now have a PayPal page where you can make a Sunday Plate contribution and other donations to the church using a major credit card. You do not need to have a PayPal account to use this page.  It's also not required to use the PayPal page. You can still mail in your pledge contributions using paper checks.
Free Money from Kroger
Did you know that  Kroger sends us about $1,600 each year? This is made possible by those of you who participate in Kroger's Community Rewards program. By annually  registering our Kroger Plus cards   online at this link and selecting the UU Church as the recipient of donations from Kroger, we receive a check for around $400 each quarter.  Our Kroger organization ID number for this program is EW763.  If more of us would participate we could receive an even larger donation from Kroger. If you haven't registered your Kroger Plus card, please consider doing so.
We also have grocery cards from Bloomingfoods and Fresh Thyme for sale. See your April 21 Prologue for information about how to buy them.
Task Force and Committee Chairs: Annual Reports Due May 15
Please send your annual report for 2019-20 to us by May 15 so we have time to compile them into our Annual Report to the Congregation, which will be made available to everyone electronically by the June 7 congregational meeting. If you are chair of a social justice task force, please send your report to Jackie Hall,  jmhall (at), so she can format all the task force reports together and then send the whole shebang to the office for inclusion. All other leaders, please send your 50-100 word report to  office (at) by May 15.
