In this music and rhythm-filled intergenerational service, we will explore ways to better attend to the physical and spiritual needs of our planet and all its creatures. The morning will feature a youth/adult rhythm section coordinated by Colleen Haas and our children's choir, directed by Jill Courtney. The morning will include a tree giveaway by the Green Sanctuary Task Force on Global Climate Change.

This Week in Religious Education
Childcare will celebrate Earth Day. If weather permits, they will play outside. Classes will not meet for Preschool-8th grade this week. We encourage families to attend our Intergenerational Earth Day service together.
High School Youth Group will meet from 12:30-2:30 pm in Room 210 for a pizza lunch and conclude their conversation about race, identity, and justice in our lives and congregation.

We will have a roving videographer and some volunteer photographers here at church taking footage of our activities on Earth Day (4/28). If you would prefer not to appear in such video or photos, please sit in the section closest to the tall windows (west side).

Our Folks...
Our hearts are heavy with the unexpected and shocking news of the death of
Mari
on Sinclair, a member of this congregation for 40 years. Marion died within days of receiving a diagnosis of terminal and untreatable cancer. A memorial service will be held here at the church on Wednesday, June 12 at 2:00 pm.

A Ceremony to Remember & Honor the Pets We Loved & Lost
Monday, April 29, 6:00 pm Join us on Monday, April 29, at 6:00 pm in Fellowship Hall for a ceremony honoring the pets we have loved and who loved us. This one-hour ceremony, offered by Rev. Karla Kamstra, is designed to provide sacred space through the ritual of music, stories, prayer, and contemplative silence to tenderly open our hearts and allow the grief to flow and help our hearts to heal. Remember to bring a picture of your beloved pet or pets to place on the altar. Hosted by our End of Life Task force. Children are welcome to attend at parents' discretion.

We have grocery gift cards for sale in the Commons every Sunday between services. The participating grocery stores send a percentage of your purchases back to the church to support our operating budget. New Deadlines for Order of Service and Friday Update Info
Thursday at 9:00 am
Because we have shifted the rhythm of our work week to hold our weekly staff meeting on Thursdays now, we encourage everyone to send us information for the order of service by 9:00 am on Thursdays. Deadline for info to be included in the Friday Update is also now due by 9:00 am on Thursdays.

Livestream This Sunday's Service
If you can't physically make it to church this Sunday, we invite you to join us via the
livestream on our website. At the church we also have screens set up in the nursery (Room 104) and in Fellowship Hall, if you need to leave the Meeting Room for any reason but still want to watch the service.
