To Notice and To Wonder
The Reverend Scott McNeill
Our worship will rely on the August theme of Curiosity, as we end the month. We invite you to join us in worship as we pause to take stock of the world around us, and begin to imagine new, endless possibilities that arise each moment of each day. It'll be a sort of "Mindful Daydreaming."
This Week in Religious Education: Curiosity
Our August Intersession is wrapping up  this Sunday, so be sure to spark your curiosity with our special guests who are leading us in Religious Education to help us learn more about our congregation. Kids in Kindergarten through 8th grade will meet in Fellowship Hall immediately after the Time for All Ages to find their group and guide. They will stay with the same guide each week and explore a different question each week, through story, scavenger hunt, outdoors, and social justice. Parents can find out which group their child is in and where to pick them up by looking at the signs on the nursery door.
World of Wonder (Preschool) at  9:15 am will participate in our August Intersession. This week they will learn more about Where We Have Been and our Unitarian Universalist heritage. At  11:15 am they will learn about our ritual of water communion in preparation for our intergenerational service on  Sept. 2nd.
High School Youth Group will meet at  12:30 pm to go canoeing at Lake Griffy.  Dress to be outside, bring sunscreen, a water bottle and a brown bag lunch.  Sign up here: www.tinyurl.com/UUyouth-aug
This Sunday! Find your calling at the Getting Involved Fair!
This Sunday, August 26, will be the last Sunday of our biannual Getting Involved Fair in the Fellowship Hall between church services (10:15-11:15).  This is an opportunity to learn about groups and activities that are meaningful to you and help you connect with this community. See you at the fair!
