Our Sunday Service

Sunday, August 30, 2020
10:15 am LIVE STREAM ONLY
A Philosophy of Care
Reverend Forrest Gilmore
How do we care for people? How do we respond to those who struggle? How do we uplift those in poverty? How do we support the "undeserving?" Many of our deepest societal and political arguments come from competing moral visions of how we care for people. We'll explore our philosophies of care this Sunday.

Rev. Forrest Gilmore is our Affiliated Community Minister and the Executive Director of Shalom Community Center, a Bloomington nonprofit dedicated to aiding and empowering people experiencing extreme poverty.

Join us via livestream for this week's service at 10:15 a.m. via our Facebook page or our website livestream page. In case you miss the livestream, archived videos are always available on our website.

Our Building is Closed for the Time Being, but Our Hearts are Still Open.
To do our part to disrupt the spread of coronavirus and COVID-19 in our community, our Board of Directors has reaffirmed the decision, announced at the June 7, 2020 Congregational Meeting, to plan on keeping our building closed through May 2021. The Board, in consultation with ministers, will continue to reassess this decision at their monthly meetings, and will keep us updated as the situation evolves. All in-person events and meetings have been canceled. Everyone please stay safe and stay well.
