Dear Friends,
On Sunday, November 3rd, we will celebrate All Saints Sunday. It is one of my favorite Sundays of the year because it is a chance to remember those who have touched our lives, strengthened our ministries, and forever hold a place in our hearts. We started two years ago to also list names of our immediate family members who have died the past year. If we have missed someone in your family, please let us know so they may be included as well. Following the service, we will have our last Lunch & Learn of the Year.
We are so pleased with the progress we have made in 2024 in terms of Children’s Ministry, additional Sunday School classes, and better financial help. We have been challenged by the increase in the number of Food Pantry neighbors we serve. We will be working on a budget for our Food Pantry for 2025 and looking for ways to find grants to handle the increased needs.
At our November Lunch & Learn, we will have signup sheets for various ministry areas where we know there will be needs. Here are a few of the ministries:
Children’s Ministry
Vacation Bible School
Youth Ministry
Program Volunteer
Host Volunteer
Communion Stewards
Altar Guild
Office Angel
Thanksgiving Feast
Decorating for Advent
Food Pantry
Sue’s Table
Liturgist
Men’s Group
Women’s Group
Usher
We will likely have a few more but be praying about how God may use you in 2025.
Our Fall Festival will be this Sunday in the Great Hall from 2:00pm until 4:00pm It is open to the public and sponsored by the youth. Come dressed as you are or put on a costume! Let’s have some fun!
We have contracted with an online directory and will soon have where you can go online and provide or correct your information. As soon as that is done, we will be able to print it out. Expect more information about that soon.
Have a great weekend! See you Sunday!
Grace and peace,
Beth
