With our 93% retention rate, it is reasonable to streamline our re-enrollment process. The process is structured so that current students will be automatically re-enrolled for the 2025-2026 school year. Enrollment fees of $300 per student will be charged February 1, 2025 to the FACTS account on file to be paid on February tuition payment date. Families in need of an extension payment plan must also contact the Business Office by January 10. Re-enrollment fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
If, for some reason, your student will not be returning to St. Joseph Catholic School, notification in writing is needed by January 10, 2025. We are confident that you will find this expedited and recurring re-enrollment process helpful. If you have any questions, please contact Tisha Hilliard (thilliard@sjcherndon.org or 703-880-4355) in the Business Office.

95210 initiatives: Limit screen time to 2 hours a day
Please read this article from American Academy of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry on managing your child’s screen time: Children and adolescents spend a lot of time watching screens, including smartphones, tablets, gaming consoles, TVs, and computers. On average, children ages 8-12 in the United States spend 4-6 hours a day watching or using screens, and teens spend up to 9 hours. While screens can entertain, teach, and keep children occupied, too much use may lead to problems.
Parents may not always know what their children are viewing, or how much time they are spending with screens.

Therefore, it is important that you keep your child home and take them to the doctor for an evaluation if they are suffering from fever and cold symptoms with prolonged coughing that has lasted > 10 days, is getting worse and not improving.
