Happy Friday, Church Family!
I’ve had a psalm sitting on my heart today that I’d like to share with you. Take a moment to receive these words from Psalm 127:1
1 Unless the Lord builds the house,
the builders labor in vain.
Unless the Lord watches over the city,
the guards stand watch in vain.
This psalm often serves to remind me in both my personal and professional life that no matter how hard I work or what level of effort I put in, if I am not connecting regularly with God and ensuring that I am leaving space in my life for God to lead me, then my work and effort is in vain. This scripture is both humbling and freeing. It helps put us in a right orientation with God, so that we might remember who is ultimately in control.
That’s why it’s important to say things like, “to God be the glory for the things He has done!” Because God is at work. God is moving. God is doing something beautiful and wonderful and faithful. And today, I just want to simply encourage us to remember, whatever we may be experiencing, that God’s got this. God’s got you. God loves you. God has a plan and purpose for your life. Thanks be to God.
Pastor Angelo
