Good Evening Members.

We received good news today during our C.A.R. AE meeting that the President signed the CARES Act into Law , providing vital relief for Independent Contractors and REALTORS during these challenging times. Click Here to access the Financial Relief for REALTORS. As a result of over 500 calls a day on the hotline regarding transactions, C.A.R. has put into place a new Covid-19 Hotline to provide one-on-one assistance for questions regarding how to apply for the federal financial relief just passed today. The Covid Financial Relief Hotline, accessed by dialing (213) 351-8450 , is open Monday - Friday from 8:30a.m. - 4:45p.m.. Please note that you must be a C.A.R. member to use this service. You can also communicate by email:

Remember that C.A.R.'s Covid-19 site located at / , offers the most recent FAQs on the Coronavirus and Real Estate Practices, Market Updates and many other great resources.

C.A.R. has answered over 500 a day over the later part of this week and encourages you to contact them with any questions you may have regarding specific transactions on the Legal Hotline (213) 739-8282 . .

C.A.R. continues to work with the State to implement a change in what is considered "essential" services to allow certain real estate activities to take place. This decision is now with the Public Health Department and no decision was made as of yet. C.A.R. has posted, " While C.A.R. has asked the California Dept. of Health for real estate to be included as an essential service, all activities must be conducted under the parameters of the governor’s stay at home order. C.A.R. continues to provide guidance to our members ensuring REALTORS® follow social distancing mandates, as the health and well-being of their communities at large is of the utmost importance. While REALTORS® may not hold open houses or showings, they are able to continue serving the public by conducting as much of their business as possible virtually." NCAOR will keep you apprised and will discuss with Brokers at their online Roundtable Monday at 9am. Click Here to access the letter sent to the State Public Health Department on behalf of our industry urging them to modify "essential" services to include real estate services.

Again, we appreciate you taking the State Executive Order to Shelter In-Place in seriously to help promote your own health and safety along with your families, clients and the Public.
Take this time to relax, organize and spend time with family at home. Enjoy your weekend.
