  • The Mayor's July 22 Situational Update gives information on the advisory and detailed information about the contact tracing including the upcoming activation of its Home Visit Team.
  • It reports on the increased positivity rates and hospitalizations among those under 40 years old.
  • It also provides information about ABRA enforcement stats during Phase 2.

D.C. Elections Board Signs Off On Plan To Mail Ballots To Every Registered Voter For November Election

The D.C. Board of Elections has signed off on a plan to mail every registered voter in the city a ballot ahead of the November election.

The plan for November also includes doubling the number of vote centers for early and day-of voting, from 20 during the primary to 40 for the general, and the placement of ballot drop-boxes across the city.

Smithsonian’s National Zoo And Udvar-Hazy Center To Reopen This Week
The National Zoo in D.C. and the National Air and Space Museum’s Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center in Chantilly, Va., will reopen with crowd limits and new health and safety measures in place.

All visitors will need to have free timed-entry passes to get in. The process will work in a similar way to the pre-coronavirus ticketing system at the National Museum of African American History and Culture. Each person will be able to reserve up to six passes at a time.

Mapping Masks
A national survey of 250,000 people was taken in early July to estimate mask-wearing frequency, and combining census tracts to draw map boundaries.

Reminder: Weekly Vigil on 16th Street Continues at Foundry Church
Throughout the summer Foundry United Methodist Church will hold a vigil from 5-6 p.m. every Friday and will continue to ring its bells every Friday at 5:45 PM for 8 minutes and 46 seconds.
 
Join protesters at Foundry on Friday evenings in a continued commitment to social justice and Black Lives Matter.
 
Foundry is located at 16th and P Streets NW.
