NATIONAL SCHOOL LUNCH PROGRAM EXTENDED
On Tuesday, October 13, the U.S. Department of Agriculture announced it will be extending free meals for all students, through June 2021.

This will allow DASD students, including those in our DASD Cyber Academy and Wildcat Remote Learning, to receive a breakfast and lunch each day at no charge.
HISTORY SPOTLIGHT: DASD SECONDARY CAMPUS
In 1958, Dallastown Area High School relocated from South Charles Street (now Dallastown Elementary) to its current location at 700 New School Lane.

Dallastown Area High School was dedicated on January 2, 1959, to “Progress in Education… Progress through Education…” which brought together the Dallastown Area School System. During this time, the building was a symbol of progress in the community. It provided a way to advance the quality of instruction of these communities so that these communities may reflect the progress that results from better education.

Highlights of this project included a separate Junior High and Senior High area, auditorium, cafeteria, gymnasium, and outdoor athletic fields including the same concrete bleachers that stand today - almost 61 years later.
SECONDARY CAMPUS TO TRANSITION TO WILDCAT WEDNESDAYS
On Wednesday, October 7, the DASD Board of Directors approved a revised reopening plan that will alter physical school attendance for students in grades 7-12. Beginning the week of October 19, students in both the middle school and high school will not physically report to school on Wednesdays.

Wednesdays, students in grades 7-12 for Option I & II will participate in remote learning activities assigned by teachers for completion and submission. We will continue to monitor supports necessary to continue quality programming for your child.
