The Dallastown Area Educational Foundation is hosting a sandwich sale, in place of its annual Monster Bash, to benefit "Operation Warm" which provides winter coats to our students in need.
As you may know, the Foundation is a broad-based, non-profit community organization working with individuals, businesses, and the community to enhance our students’ academic and cultural experiences. They provide annual scholarships, classroom materials through teacher grants, and financial support for various school activities.

Please consider placing an order by Friday, October 16, 2020 to support our students in need.
On Wednesday, September 23, the District shared a plan that would allow limited spectators to attend our fall athletic competitions.

Yesterday, October 1, 2020 we received the news that the Third Circuit issued an order for stay of the District Court's order pending appeal that would have allowed decisions to be made regarding spectators at the local Board level. The stay order reinstates the Governor's 25/250 public gathering restrictions until the appeal is heard.

At this time, the District will continue to monitor this developing issue should any updated guidance be shared by Governor Wolf.
At its Thursday, September 17th, meeting, the Dallastown Area Board of School Directors regretfully received the resignation of School Director John Hartman, effective Saturday, October 31st. With the potential for multiple district-wide emails per week, Dallastown Area School District will provide our families with a weekly update on the number of active COVID-19 cases within the district.

This information will be shared through the Friday Wildcat News on Fridays, unless there is a drastic change, in which case the District will notify families via SchoolMessenger.

Please note: If there is a case in your student's building, you will be notified via email. If your student is identified as being exposed to a confirmed case of COVID-19, you will receive a phone call and an email with additional information.
Currently Dallastown Area School District has three active cases within the District. This does not include the previous cases of which the individuals have recovered from COVID-19 and have returned to our buildings.

The District continues to work in collaboration with the PA Department of Health to conduct contact tracing investigations. As a result of these investigations, the District will notify those individuals who are considered close contacts and advise them to self-quarantine, accordingly.
