24 raised garden beds.
11 tons of soil.
Thousands of seeds.
And, countless opportunities to educate young minds- and fuel students with healthy foods!
The 2024-2025 school year is filled with new and delicious educational opportunities for Cohasset Middle School students!
Thanks to a grant from Cohasset Education Foundation, Friends of Holly Hill Farm will partner with Cohasset Middle School (CMS) on an extensive school garden-to-cafeteria program that will involve students in many facets from growing, harvesting, and composting, to enhancing their in-classroom learning through hands-on opportunities in the garden.
In addition to important agricultural lessons, students will learn about nutrition and ecology. And, the harvested crops will be used in middle and high school meals!
We're excited as the year gets underway, and we look forward to sharing more updates from this exciting educational endeavor at Cohasset Middle School.
Thank you to Cohasset Education Foundation and Cohasset Middle School for making this partnership and program possible.
