# of People Served at the Mission Center Food Pantry

359 families were served at the pantry during the month with food that fed their household members, reaching a grand total of 640 people as shown below:

Connecting People & Resources

One Mission Cambridge provides case management services that connect individuals and families to critical resources they might not otherwise access.

Through personalized support, we help people navigate challenges related to housing, food, healthcare, and employment. This work is both impactful and essential; it meets immediate needs and helps individuals build stability and move toward long-term well-being.

In April, the most requested case management services were Housing and Job Assistance. One Mission helped by providing landlord lists, assistance filling out Section 8 housing applications, and, in some cases, finding temporary shelters.

For job assistance, we provide job postings that are updated each month and assist with online job searches and application processes.

We also regularly host local representatives from our community partners that provide assistance.

Volunteers Keep One Mission Cambridge Moving

At One Mission Cambridge, volunteers take on many roles—cleaning tables, restocking shelves, and helping shoppers select groceries. Just as important is the consistency they bring.

Stephen Dissinger has been volunteering for the past few months, often two to three times a week. “I serve the Lord,” he said. “Everyone deserves love and respect.”

Cindy Necaise began volunteering in July 2025 after learning about the organization’s mission. “I never feel rudderless when I’m here,” she said. “As soon as you walk in the door, it’s clear what’s going on.” She also values the grocery-style model, which allows people to choose what they need with dignity.

“The staff here is warm and loving and caring,” Dissinger said. “I feel comfortable here.” For many volunteers, the experience lingers.

Anne Usiondek-Benjamin, who volunteers at both the pantry and monthly dinners, said connection is at the heart of the work: “I try to be interested in people.”

“When I leave, I remember the people I met,” Cindy Necaise said. “That makes me want to come back.”

Spring is popping at our Purchase With Purpose cart located at Vintage Venue!

Located just down the street from One Mission at 415 Race Street. All proceeds from these items benefit One Mission's efforts to combat food insufficiency in Dorchester County.
