I Love Jesus, But Hate (Some) Church Leaders
Gandhi famously quipped, “I like your Christ, I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ.” Gandhi stands in good company: the world is full of people who like Jesus very much but can't stand the people who follow him – and for good reason! This week's sermon takes a look at how Church Leaders miss the mark.

Most every time someone has been hurt by the church (and that has happened – a lot!) it has been because some church “leader” has fallen prey to some form of ego, sex, money, or power. It started at the beginning and has been causing folk to run from the church ever since!

In 1 Timothy 3, Paul emphasizes leadership and the well-ordering of the church as the “pillar and buttress of the truth.” So why is it so hard for church folk to be servants that build-up God’s Body and a source of strength for Jesus’ followers?
