News from Pastor Hardy
Dear Friends,
Spring is a season of renewal and growth. I love seeing so much newness thriving around me — both in nature and in our church! Many new individuals and families are joining us for worship and other programs.
Part of our call is to nurture this kind of growth. That’s why I'm grateful for the leadership of Jenna Burkhalter and Rev. Rich Pak, Directors of Children’s Ministry and Youth Ministry respectively, for creating new casual “family meal” events to help build community.
I love seeing so many families, volunteers, and friendly neighbors gathered together — sharing a meal, laughing together, playing in the gym, and just enjoying the afternoon. It’s a wonderful taste of God’s peaceable realm made real in our world.
If you want to stop by some Sunday when you see people grilling outside the Phoenix Center, don’t be shy! Come say hello and experience the spirit of community together.
With gratitude,
Hardy

Russian Ridge Open Space Preserve Hike
Tomorrow! Saturday, May 13 • 9 am • RSVP
Join us for a 5.4-mile moderate hike with a 931 ft elevation gain. Russian Ridge is known for its wild flowers; hopefully, we’ll get to see some! We’ll meet at 9 am at Russian Ridge Preserve Parking, 3901 Alpine Rd in La Honda.
Please RSVP if you’re coming — that way we can look for you (leave no hiker behind) and know whom to contact if a hike is canceled for reasons such as rain.

You may also call the church at 1-408-739-1892 and one can be put aside for you.
