Pastor Nominating Committee Update by Bruce Deadman

We are continuing our work and feel very good about where we are at this time. We have definitely made progress.
Blizzard/Concert for FMSC - Tickets 3/1, 8, 15

Help us raise funds for FMSC while you enjoy a game and a concert March 29th at 3:05 p.m. at the Resch Center. Join us for the 2020 Green Bay Blizzard Faith and Fellowship game, followed by a concert by Sanctus Real! Your Blizzard ticket includes a field pass that will get you down on the field for the concert! For each $15 ticket purchased through our church*, $15 is donated to Feed My Starving Children Green Bay Mobilepack.

Enjoy a great night of family-friendly indoor football, followed up with a concert by a great Christian band, Sanctus Real! Help us continue the fight against hunger. Purchase tickets from Kirke Ryder to avoid processing fees - available before and after worship services on March 1, 8, & 15.
Annual Meeting
March 1

Sunday, March 1 is our Annual Congregational Meeting at 11:15 a.m., immediately following our 10 am service, moderated by Pastor Luke Farwell. The 11:15 a.m. Lenten Study group will meet in the Upper Room following the Annual Meeting.
Lenten Studies Continue
March 1 - April 11

The Lenten book study continues, based on "A Journey Through Lent" "Reflecting on Christ's Sacrifice for Us."

There are Lenten Studies:
-Sundays at 11:15 a.m. following the Worship service;
-Thursdays at 11:00 a.m.;
-Saturdays at 9:00 a.m.
Books are $5.00 - purchase after Worship for the next couple of weeks. Further details and dates:

World Day of Prayer
March 4

World Day of Prayer service is Wednesday, March 4 at 6:30 p.m. at Union Congregational Church in the Bagby Chapel with light refreshments to follow. The church women of Zimbabwe wrote the service this year.
Griffon String Quartet
March 8

The Griffon String Quartet will play for the worship service at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, March 8 as we celebrate Gifts of Women. Join us for the service and an opportunity to enjoy their beautiful music as well as to hear from Nancy Siewert, who will present the homily.
Griffon String Quartet Concert
March 14

The Griffon String Quartet will play a concert with guest pianist Nariaki Sugiura, presenting works by Montgomery, Hindemith, and Schumannl on Saturday, March 14 at 7:00 p.m. at First Pres. Donations accepted.
Gamblers Game & Sanctus Real Concert
March 29

Help raise funds for the Feed My Starving Children Mobilepack and have a great time as well. Join us on Saturday, March 29 at 3:05 p.m. See above for more information and how to purchase tickets.
Presbyterian Pantry
March & April Needs

For March, the Pantry volunteers are requesting donations of chicken noodle and tomato soups, and for April, macaroni & cheese. You can place them in the shopping cart in the narthex at your convenience. Don't forget, the Pantry can always use monetary donations as well! 
Tenebrae Service
April 9

A Tenebrae Service at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 9 observes Maundy Thursday.

The Tenebrae service is held during the three days preceding Easter Sunday.
Good Friday Service
April 10

A Good Friday service is on Friday, April 10 at 12:30 p.m. with a Symbols of the Passion Drama. Children will bring forward various objects to an imagined garden of Joseph of Arimathea and the tomb of Jesus. The objects tell the story of the passion.
Easter Sunday Service
April 12

The Easter morning worship service on Sunday, April 12 at 10:00 a.m. will feature music for the congregation, the Chancel choir, and a brass quintet.

Join us for this joyous celebration of Christ's resurrection. All are welcome.
´╗┐2 for 2 at the U
April 14

The Outreach Committee invites you to 2 for 2 at the U at the Mauthe Center on Tuesday, April 14. We need volunteers, as well as fruit and desserts. Please let Stephanie Fahringer know if you can help with either or both! The fruit and desserts should be in the workroom by noon that Tuesday, and Stephanie will transport them. Steph will inform volunteers of times.
Food Drives
April 18 & May 9

The annual Scouting for Food food drive is Saturday, April 18, and the Letter Carriers food drive is Saturday, May 9. Both drives benefit the Pantry and we'll need help with to pick up, unload, sort, and shelve the items.

Remember the "Food Drive Five" when donating: Proteins: peanut butter, nuts, seafood, poultry; Fruits in juice, dried or sauced fruits; Soups low in sodium and containing proteins and vegetables; Whole grain cereals and pastas; and Colorful vegetables.
Sunday School Breaks for Summer
April 26

The children will take a summer break from the formal Sunday School sessions after the Sunday, April 26 meeting. Please join us again beginning September 13. Thank you to our teachers who put in a lot of time and effort!
Cozy Kids Thank You

Thank you to everyone for participating in collecting donations for our Cozy Kids drive throughout all of January.

As you can see, the children at Tank School appreciate the items Stephanie brought over. Thank you Tiffany Volkman at Tank School for the photo.
