World Cares Center's August Newsletter

Dear Friend,

As we approach the end of summer, we want to thank you for your continued support. Your support enables World Cares Center to support communities in crisis, locally, nationally, and internationally while we also look ahead to the future.

Our Train the Trainer session in July was a success and we are so thrilled to have joined leaders from around the country for our trainer’s exchange. A special thanks to Atlantic COHST, Rutgers University, and NIEHS for supporting the exchange. I would also like to thank Con Edison for their longtime and continued support of our mission through a grant for our 2023 programs. World Cares Center helps Ready responders take part in their own safety, response and recovery. We focus on working with local partners to build capacity and leave behind skilled responders with access to resources and support. To learn more about how you can become a part of the Train the Trainer exchange, please contact Lisa Orloff [email protected].

Thank you for attending The Next Gen Board Summer Social and for sharing your valuable insights and feedback! It was a wonderful time to mix and mingle and we appreciate your contributions. Your support means a lot to us!

Back to School season is quickly approaching, and we welcome you to join us for our August Roundtable. In this session, we will cover Back to School safety preparedness and discuss ways that our Next Generation can be better prepared at school and college as well as be involved in Disaster Preparedness, Response and, Recovery initiatives.

We look forward to seeing you on September 21st at Fornino Brooklyn Bridge Park for the Stars Under the Stars Fundraiser! Join us in honoring our volunteers and support World Cares Center’s mission and services that train and protect Ready Responders.
