The Phoenix Center is rising again! This summer Youth and Children’s Ministries are collaborating in renovating the Phoenix Center to be a more attractive and welcoming space. The patio will become an outdoor living space for meals and hanging out; the CLUE room will become the Children’s Ministry room, and the FLASH room will become a multipurpose café-style Youth Room. Children’s and Youth Ministries are collaborating to create more inclusive and comprehensive programs for all families. We look forward to sharing the renovation results with all of you!

CARAVAN Commissioning

& Prayers

Sunday, July 23

Join us next Sunday for our CARAVAN commissioning service as the participants leave for Paradise, California, where they will participate in fire disaster relief with Presbyterian Disaster Assistance.

This year’s CARAVAN students include Aiko Charon, Abi Coelho, Emma Gove, Tyler Gray, Jonah Kim, Jonas Turley, Sunny VanSickle, and Bea Zorzella. Adult advisors are Gama Ramirez, Debbie Stoddard and Scotty VanSickle, along with Pastor Hardy Kim and Youth Director Rich Pak. 

You are invited to join the CARAVAN Prayer Team by emailing youth@sunnyvalepres.com. Please also join us for CARAVAN Sunday worship on July 30 to hear participants’ testimonies from their missions trip.

Timblin Kelleher has served the church as Comptroller and Treasurer for the past four years, helping to guide our stewardship decisions through some very challenging times. We are thankful for the clear and thoughtful financial guidance — along with the kindness and warm sense of humor — she has brought to our staff and session. Timblin is now embarking on a long-planned move to the East Coast. Though we are sorry to see her go, we are grateful for the many ways she has shared her gifts with us, both as a church member and as a part of our staff. We wish her and her partner Rob every blessing as they settle into their new home!

Family Movie Night
