Guest Preacher & Speaker Rev. Dr. Bill Shaw

Sunday, March 10

10 am worship • Sanctuary & online

11:30 am Adult Learning class • Soulé Hall & Zoom

Dear Kris,

Mark your calendars for March 10 for a very special worship and learning experience!

My good friend, Rev. Dr. Bill Shaw (OBE), has been recognized internationally for his inspiring peacebuilding work serving under-resourced and trauma-impacted individuals in Belfast, Northern Ireland. He leads the 174 Trust, a community organization that meets basic needs, builds connections across differences, brings people together through art, and lifts up youth and their families. Learn more here.

It’s tempting to think of Northern Ireland’s armed conflict between paramilitaries as being very distant from our own lives. However, given the growing political and cultural divisions and rising prevalence of violent language and behavior in our own country, perhaps our experiences aren’t so different after all.

I believe we have much to learn from a proven faith leader like Rev. Shaw, who has helped shepherd communities from violence to thriving. I hope you’ll take this chance to receive his witness, and to hear how God might inspire transformation in our own neighborhoods. Don’t miss worship and the class on March 10!

Praying for peace,

Hardy
