We belong together!
Financial Stewardship Campaign for 2025
| |
Dear Jennifer,
Join us each Sunday in October to hear different members of our church community share the impact belonging to this community of faith has had in their lives. Most likely you’ve had similar experiences of finding meaningful connections here, and as a result have your own hopes and desires for the future of our church. Stewardship is how we pledge our mutual commitment to bringing that future to fruition as we grow in fellowship together and spread God’s love to others.
Everyone is encouraged to make a financial commitment, no matter how large or small, as a way of expressing our gratitude for the gifts God has given us — including the gift of connectedness we enjoy at Sunnyvale Pres.
You may pledge online, or use the pledge card coming soon in the mail.
Blessings,
Pastors Hardy & Laura, and Treasurer Barry Vickery

Environmental Justice Action Group
Monday, October 14 (2nd Mondays) • 7:30 pm • Zoom
| |
Combining faith with a concern for creation, this new group will use Bible study as the basis for exploring a variety of environmental topics. Throughout the year, the group will plan several hands-on activities. After the initial study, the group will also explore how Sunnyvale Pres could become an “Earth Care Congregation,” a PC(USA) designation for churches that commit to meeting environmental goals. For more information, email Mary Green Vickrey. | |

Update on Pastor Hardy
Pastor Hardy has been spending time with extended family, including celebrating the Harvest Moon Festival and meeting some family members for the first time. He was able to pay respects to his grandmother and her husband, and learn more about her life and legacy. He’s explored more of Seoul and seen his mother-in-law as he continues to learn more about peace and justice movements and his own family background. Please continue to pray for his sabbatical learning.
