Call to Annual Congregational Visioning Meeting (and Process)
The Officers and Leadership Circle of the Congregational Church of West Medford | Sanctuary UCC issue this call to the 2020 Annual Congregational Visioning Meeting (and Process) as defined by our by-laws.
Sunday Worship - September 13 @ 10:30 am
Rally Sunday!!
Rally Sunday is the worship service where we kickoff the church’s program year and re-covenant to ‘be the church’. Most years, it serves as a homecoming of sorts: we welcome back those who have been away for the summer, celebrate how good it is to be together in community, and recommit ourselves to the work of gospel love in the months to come. While the pandemic will prevent us from holding Rally Sunday in person, we still plan to kick the day off in style.
Prayer for This Sunday:
Living God, you call us to new life even in our sorrows and concerns. Help us trust in the promise of the resurrection, and teach us to hear your whispers of hope. For we pray in the name of the great hope-giver, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Sunday Online Schedule
9:45 - 10:15 am - Guided Meditation w/ Sarah D
10:15 am - Gathering Time (say hello and get settled in)
10:30 am - Family Worship (children, reflections, music, prayers)
11:30 am - Virtual Coffee Hour (small group conversation)
Announcements - Mission & Service
Rally for Equity in Our Schools
Saturday, Sept 12 (2 - 4 pm); Speakers begin at 3
Family Friendly
Mobilize Medford and Mystic Valley Area NAACP are proud to support the Mobilize Youth Medford in their rally for racial equity in Medford Public Schools.

The M.Y. Medford Rally is the brainchild of a 6th grade student in Medford Public Schools. Greatly moved by the murders of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor, amongst others, she understands the importance of taking action to build a better society. The Medford Youth Rally will feature the voices of students and is being held to call attention to the pressing need for:
  1. Improved training for teachers in non-bias and culturally appropriate teaching.
  2. Curricula that reflect the history and contributions of Black, Indigenous, and People of Color.
  3. Implementation of a hiring process aimed at increasing teachers of color.
  4. Elimination of police in schools.
  5. Creation of a safe place for reporting racially based incidents.

Masks are REQUIRED and Social Distancing will be in effect.
Please come ready to learn and join in the call for change.
Response to Pandemic Childcare/Learning Crisis
A city-wide, cross-sector effort that centers the needs of children and families as we re-knit our social fabric, reimagine our post-pandemic economy, and recreate ourselves as an anti-racist community. It Takes A Village: Medford is committed to convening community stakeholders to work together to ensure that ALL Medford’s children, and especially those who are most vulnerable, will have the opportunity to safely learn and thrive, even in the midst of this pandemic.
