INTRODUCING
SFO's NEW Aircraft Noise Tracking Technology
San Francisco International Airport is excited to announce the arrival of SFO’s NEW Aircraft Noise Tracker. This tool gives you a near real-time look at actual flight tracks and noise levels around the airport. You can investigate aircraft-related noise events, validate your aircraft noise calculations, and submit community concerns directly to the SFO Aircraft Noise Abatement Office.

The tool enables you to:
  • Find Specific Aircraft Information including an aircraft’s type, altitude, origin/destination airport, and other flight identification. Locating yourself on the map offers additional location-specific information.
  • Determine Aircraft and Community Noise Levels from permanent and portable noise monitors deployed by the airport which are shown by the colored numbered dots.
  • Replay and Investigate Historical Flights
  • Display Map Layers of major SFO arrival & departure routes and noise contours
  • Submit a Noise Report with SFO’s Aircraft Noise Abatement Office (Coming end of October)
  • See Flights in 3D. Our previous tracker, Volans, is still available within the application and allows you to see flights in a 3D view.

You can share your impressions of the new flight tracker tool by emailing  noiseabatementoffice@flysfo.com.

Sharp Park Berm Improvement Project
The San Francisco Recreation and Park Department has begun an exciting improvement project to the Sharp Park Berm, which runs alongside the back of the Sharp Park Golf Course. Anticipated dates for key milestones are listed below. As with all such projects, these dates are only approximations.

This is not a City of Pacifica project and all questions related to it should be directed to the San Francisco Recreation and Park Department, who can be reached by calling (415) 831-2700.

Project has been mobilized.
  • Following the Labor Day Holiday, erosion control fabric and site furnishings will be installed
  • In October, footings and installation of the beach access ramp and stairway will begin
  • Grading and trail paving at the trailhead off of Beach and Clarendon Rd. will likely occur towards end of November to mid-December
  • Construction activities should be complete by end of 2019

Note: A detour route will be available to allow pedestrians to access the berm during trail work and all phases of construction.
