CONNECT WITH PACIFICA
Greetings!

As of today’s weather forecast, PG&E has said that Pacifica will not be affected by the upcoming Public Safety Power Shutoff in coming days, which is more likely to occur south of the Tom Lantos tunnel. However, weather can change, so please pay attention to announcements.  A convenient way to stay informed is to sign up for SMCAlert to receive direct notifications.

If you haven’t yet voted and are planning to drop off your ballot at the Official Ballot Drop Box at City Hall, 170 Santa Maria Ave., take a second to snap a photo and post it with #smcvote #PacificaVotes to contribute to a fun social media effort.

The City’s Economic Development Committee has been hard at work on ways to help promote and sustain local businesses in Pacifica, and recently worked with Sea Bowl and Beach Break Entertainment to bring a drive-in movie night to the Sea Bowl parking lot. It was a successful and fun event for all, and coupon books with deals at local businesses were distributed to the attendees. Another fun upcoming event will be the Parks, Beaches, and Recreation Department’s Halloween Drive Thru event in the City Hall parking lot, fun for the whole family in a COVID-19 safe way.

Sincerely,

KEVIN WOODHOUSE
City Manager

Pacificans Care, Pacifica’s community foundation, is kicking off its annual 2020 Share of Care Campaign. We know that not only is the need great, but it is escalating for those Pacificans in need of assistance during these difficult times. Pacificans Care, since 1982, remains the only nonprofit that provides you the opportunity to support Pacifica Senior Services, Pacifica Resource Center, Pacifica Child Care Services and Pacifica Youth Service Bureau through one donation.

Your contribution to the 2020 Share of Care Campaign will help our core agencies provide meals on wheels for seniors, assist families in need with emergency groceries, enhance learning experiences for preschoolers and children, and provide much needed counseling for teens and families in crisis.
