About Let’s Talk Housing !
|
|
Let's Talk Housing is a collaborative effort of all the jurisdictions in San Mateo County focused on getting community feedback that will shape our Housing Elements – a housing plan that is part of every General Plan. Through an ongoing initiative called 21 Elements, we are working together to learn from and listen to the community about their housing needs, helping to make sure everyone is involved in shaping our shared future.
This year, all the jurisdictions in San Mateo County – cities, towns and the county – are updating their Housing Elements, or housing plans. This update is part of the General Plan and will guide the policies and programs related to housing for the next 10 years.
The plans we shape together through our Housing Element update will help Pacifica fulfill our shared responsibility to meet the regionally-assigned housing goals, which will more than double by 2031.
We all have a role to play in shaping the future of housing in our community by adding our voice to the Housing Element update process. Change is underway and we can shape the future together. The more people we hear from, the better our plans for the future of housing will reflect what is actually needed. Your voice—along with the voices of your neighbors, our workforce and our young people—are critical to ensure we have housing that meets all our needs.

Earthquake and Tsunami Preparedness Course

What is a tsunami? Do I live, work, or visit areas in the tsunami hazard zone? How will I receive information about a tsunami threat?
Education and preparation are the best ways to avoid injury and increase your chances for surviving a tsunami.
