Greetings!
I’m excited to announce numerous improvements to sidewalks, streets, and bicycle lanes upcoming – important City infrastructure maintenance and improvements to help make Pacifica safer and more pedestrian and bicycle friendly. First, a new sidewalk along the north end of Palmetto Avenue is under construction. Second, the
street pavement rehabilitation project on Monterey Avenue is also getting underway. And finally, this week the City Council will be considering approval of a contract for a large street resurfacing (called a slurry seal) project along Terra Nova Blvd. from Fassler Ave. to Oddstad Blvd. and along Oddstad Blvd. from Terra Nova Blvd. to the north end. This project will also include the installation of bike lanes in these areas according to the City’s Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan. Also, next week at a
City Council Special Meeting on Wednesday evening, July 15, the City Council will be discussing an
Unhoused in Pacifica Motorhome Permit Parking Pilot Progra
m as a way to assist the unhoused living in motorhomes and, in conjunction with the upcoming implementation of the City’s Over-sized Vehicle Ordinance, help address this complex issue in Pacifica.
Sincerely,
KEVIN WOODHOUSE
City Manager

District Based City Council Elections
|
|
|
On December 17, 2018, the City of Pacifica adopted
Ordinance No. 839-C.S.
approving the transition from at-large to by-district elections for the election of Pacifica City Councilmembers beginning with the general municipal election in November 2020 and thereafter. With district-based elections, each of five councilmembers will be elected by voter's within that candidate's district. This November, District 1 and District 4 will hold elections for City Council seats.
What Does This Mean?
This means that you may not have a Councilmember to vote for in November. It depends on where you live.
