At the City Council meeting on May 24th, the City Council adopted a policy related to the flying of flags at City facilities/locations, and in accordance with this new policy the City will be raising the LGBTQ Pride flag for the month of June at City Hall and Beach Boulevard. There will be an informal Pride flag raising gathering (see below) at City Hall on Tuesday, June 1 at 3:00 p.m., if you are interested in attending.

Mobile COVID-19 Testing in Pacifica
The City of Pacifica is teaming up with San Mateo County Public Health, on a Mobile COVID-19 testing site. This mobile bus will be available for testing every Sunday from 10:00am to 6:00pm, located at 1900 Francisco Blvd (corner of Francisco Blvd & Salada Ave).
After considerable work by the Emergency Preparedness & Safety Commission to raise awareness about wildfire preparedness in Pacifica, this new webpage has been added to the City website. PD has worked with North County Fire Authority to help bring several useful resources to one location. Learn about defensible space, evacuation planning, fire insurance for homeowners, and register to receive alert notifications through SMCAlert. Visit the page here!
Mental Health Awareness Month
Law enforcement response to those in mental health crisis has been a topic of conversation for some time, especially this past year. As part of promoting Mental Health Awareness Month and the resources Pacifica Officers have access to on a daily basis, the Police Department updated their Crisis Intervention webpage with numerous links to the in-county resources Pacifica Police partner with regularly, including the San Mateo County Assessment and Response Team (SMART). Those listed on the webpage are just a sample of the resources that were discussed at the Policing in Pacifica Update at the April 12, 2021 City Council Meeting.
