November 2020 Newsletter

For 20 years we have been amazed at the people who come out to the Care4 5K to share their stories, show support and embrace the energy of the cause. This year was different! We experienced the Care4 through your lens!

Thank you for all of the pictures you shared. And, there were many touching and meaningful videos too. We were so happy to see you embrace the virtual concept and to see how creative you got! There were walks at various locations: Riverwalk in McHenry, Veterans Acres, Emricson Park, and as far away as an Arizona State Park- just wow!

There were companies that rallied together like; SnapOn Crystal Lake, Ortho Illinois of Algonquin, CrossKicks Fitness in Algonquin and Read Between the Lynes in Woodstock (just to name a few). We were supported both near and far. You represented every town in McHenry County and we even welcomed a participant from far away Puerto Rico!

And, Doug Jackson of Woodstock Harley Davidson hosted a ride and 34 bikes joined in. There will be another ride in 2021 for the Care4 and we could not be more excited!

In total, there were 1,011 participants and together we raised $140,000 and counting!

More than 400 patients will benefit from your involvement and generosity. YOU have made it possible for them to remain healthy and vibrant by getting a screening, learning healthy lifestyle choices, and how to prevent breast cancer.

Thank you everyone!!!!

P.S. If you would like a 2020 Care4 t-shirt please contact Kristian Nemetz at Long sleeve are $10 and short sleeve are $7.

We thank St. Ann's Episcopal Church, Woodstock, for hosting a fundraiser for FHPC!

2020 Virtual Lobster Fest

Your gift will help homeless and uninsured people in McHenry County gain access to care by supporting the Family Health Partnership Clinic (FHPC).

This year, honoring health recommendations to reduce the spread of COVID-19, we are pausing Lobster Fest. While the lobsters get a reprievewe continue our mission to provide much-needed medical care to our McHenry County neighbors in need. Please join us!

Last year, lobsters sold for $22 each. This year, we ask you to make a cash gift of $22 or more. With no event overhead,100% of your gift will go to our partner organization, the Family Health Partnership Clinic (FHPC). Our goal for this fundraiser is $3,000.00, to surpass what was raised last year.
