Greetings!
The Pacifica City Council, city staff, and I would like to wish you a relaxing and peaceful Thanksgiving holiday. As we enter into the holiday season, please consider shopping local to support Pacifica businesses. To help promote spending local, the City’s Economic Development Program and Committee are launching “Shop Pacifica,” a new digital gift card program designed to encourage people to support small local retailers in Pacifica while providing the public with a safe and convenient holiday shopping experience. More information will be forthcoming about this exciting program, so stay tuned.
At the final City Council meeting of the calendar year, coming up on Monday, December 13, the Council will hold study sessions about two important economic development related initiatives, one related to developing a marketing strategy for Pacifica and the other related to the Vision 2025 & Beyond study, which has the Council-adopted purpose “to tell Pacifica’s story of the many priority infrastructure projects and enhanced programs and services envisioned for Pacifica’s mid to long-term future that are equitable and inclusive and will help all Pacificans thrive, and to articulate the City’s financial opportunities, challenges, and strategies to achieve this vision and resiliency.” Please join the meeting via Zoom and provide your input on these important initiatives, and also celebrate the City Council reorganization at the same meeting, honoring the transition of Mayor and Mayor pro Tem roles.
Sincerely,
Kevin Woodhouse
City Manager

Turkey Too from the Folks in Blue. More than 23 years ago, Sergeant Bob Mitchell (since retired) started "Turkey Too From the Folks in Blue." This program helps provide meals to some of the home bound seniors in our community during the Thanksgiving holiday. We are proud to have continued this tradition after Sergeant Mitchell retired.
This year, through generous donations from the Pacifica Police Department staff, we were able to provide gift cards to more than 115 clients of the Meals on Wheels program. We are proud to continue to support this program through Pacifica Senior Services. To become a client, a volunteer driver, or to make a donation, please click here or contact the Program Coordinator at 650-738-7350. Thank you!
