Project ROAR

WE LOVE INSPIRATION ACADEMY and we want to help you tell others all about why IA is AWESOME! Every month we will issue a Project ROAR challenge. Each challenge will include an outreach opportunity and a "Share" prompt. Share posts and pictures from the outreach opportunities will be posted on the Official IA Facebook page. Join the community and ROAR Like A LION!

WhereDidThisPenComeFrom.com! This month your student will bring home a pack of special pens. Help us spread the word about Inspiration Academy by giving them away! Leave them at restaurants, stores, and other places you visit during the month of December.

Christmas Celebrations

On Thursday, December 6 th during 7 th period , SGA will be hosting our 2 nd Annual Christmas Village. Middle School and High School will come together with teachers and staff to celebrate and share some Christmas cheer. And you can bet we’ll be singing loud for all to hear in our Christmas Karaoke. We will also have a photo booth, a cocoa bar, cookie decorating, ornament making and more! All of these areas are free but students will also have an opportunity to purchase glass ornaments to make as well. More details will follow. 
SGA will also be selling Buddy Grams! Sales will begin at our Christmas village and will be sold through December 11 th . Buddy Gram choices will include chocolates, candy canes, and cookie options and prices will be $1.50 and below. On Wednesday morning our very own Buddy the Elf will personally deliver all of the pre-purchased Buddy Grams to student’s classrooms. It’s an event sure to make them smile because as we know, Buddy loves smiling!

Visual & Performing Arts
A still life drawing created by 7th grader Laurel Moorman of a mini pumpkin setup, graphite on 400lb, 9x12 drawing paper. This was completed in several in-class periods. Laurel is immensely talented and quite diligent with her work. Laurel has expressed a greater desire to excel in art, and has been awarded a separate art track to be tutored by Mr. Neagle in progressing her skills.
A still life drawing created by 12th grader Raluca Gica of various seasonal pumpkins, Charcoal on 400lb, 18x24 inch drawing paper. Raluca spent 3 weeks on this assignment in class and even did additional work outside to make it look quite spectacular.

High School Co-ed Soccer
Inspiration Academy is fielding a high school co-ed soccer team this year! If you are interested in joining the team, it’s not too late! Practice is currently being held on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

Inspiration is excited to announce the launch of the IA Golf Academy and Welcome Coach Kaebel. Coach Chris Kaebel is a professional level Instructor with over 40 years of experience in the golf industry and is looking forward to building this Academy. Stay tuned for more information!

Tennis Academy
Thanksgiving USTA Tournament
IA tennis hosted daily match play and a USTA level 7 tournament over the Thanksgiving holidays. Congratulation to Noah Van Dyke B16, Champion, and Novak Zhao B16, Finalist!

Eddie Herr Tournament
With players from around the world coming through Bradenton for Eddie Herr, Inspiration Academy tennis was able to work with many new players. As a staging point for players from places out of the country like Thailand, China, Ireland, and Czechoslovakia and “locally” from California, New York, Chicago, and Texas we were able to show off our wonderful school and program.

Inspiration Academy had 16 players competing in Eddie Herr with seeds Brooklyn Olson #1 seed G12 and Gabbi Broadfoot #3 seed G14.

Baseball Academy

Game News
Our season is close to beginning and in preparation our Varsity Team played our first scrimmage game. We won 12-7 against Central Pointe Academy. While everyone contributed to the win, Nick Cinelli hit a grand slam in the 6th inning to give us a decisive lead! JV also played a tough scrimmage game against Central Pointe Academy but fell short of the win. 
Thanksgiving Hitting Clinics
Coach Mario conducted an outreach for younger children by putting on a free hitting clinic and taking canned food donations. It was a great success with 15 children attending the clinics. Everyone had so much fun that Coach Mario has decided to offer more clinics over Christmas Break! From the Desk of Parent's Pride

Dear Parents,

We hope that everyone had a restful Thanksgiving Break. It is hard to believe that the school year is almost at the halfway point!
November was an exciting month at IA! Our locker fundraiser at Sweetberries was a huge success! It raised $285 toward lockers for our students. Our thanks to SweetBerries and those that went out to support our locker fundraiser.

Friendsgiving was a DELICIOUS event! Thank you to those that attended and contributed to our very first Friendsgiving. It was a lovely time had by all! 
We have many great events planned in December and in the New Year. As always parent and grandparent support is needed to make these events a success. This Friday, December 7th is our Parents Pride meeting at 8:15.On the agenda for discussion; a mid year check in with Mrs. Speir, 5K run information with co-chair Cirelle Fitzsimmons, and info on the Father Daughter Dance taking place in February.

Parents of middle school students, please join us at 9:00 immediatly following the Parent's Pride meeting for a separate Snowcoming Dance meeting in the Pride room with co-chairs Holly McAndrews and Stephanie Payrits.   

Friday the 7th is also our HOLIDAY Teacher Treat Day, please send in a festive snack item for our teachers. 

Please save the date for our January meeting on the 11th. Christine Olson who created TIFF, To Inform Families First will be sharing information on her organization.
