Attention Beloved Community
Please see Volunteer Opportunities section below!
We are in need of volunteers and donations to help our fellow Tennesseans.

Sean O’Shea has spent decades immersed in New Thought teachings. As a keyboardist and singer-songwriter, Sean was interviewed by Charles Gibson and Diane Sawyer live on ABC’s Good Morning America and twice opened for author and TV personality Dr. Wayne Dyer - who became a personal mentor to Sean. Sean was the Music Ministry Director (here) at Center for Spiritual Living Nashville for several years and has been an active friend and supporter of Unity for over 20 years.
In July of 2022, Sean was ordained in Divine Science.
Based in Cookeville, TN, he often travels with his wife, Laurie — who is Sean’s favorite performing songwriter. They offer musical “coffeehouse-style” concerts and workshops together.
Please welcome back Reverend Sean O’Shea.

Bellevue Community Food Bank Update
Neighbors, friends, strangers, people, are hungry and food banks everywhere are struggling. You may have seen the stories on the local and national news.
Your local Bellevue Community Food Bank (hosted at Bellevue United Methodist Church) continues to make a huge impact on our neighbors who are experiencing food insecurity. The food bank has a director and 36 volunteers.

Volunteers Needed at Room At The Inn
Room At The Inn is a wonderful organization that offers shelter, food, comfort and community to the unhoused during the winter months. From November - March each year, over 120 congregations represented by different faith traditions, college campuses and community groups along with thousands of volunteers shelter many of Nashville’s unhoused neighbors. On the first and third Fridays of each month, volunteers from First Unitarian Universalist Church of Nashville (FUNN) provide transportation from the RITI building on Drexel Ave. to their church on Woodmont Blvd. Once at the church, 8 male guests are provided with a hot home cooked meal and a comfortable place to sleep for the night. It takes approximately 15 volunteers for each date. FUUN is hosting this year on November 7-8, 21-22; December 5-6, 19-20; January 2-3, 16-17; February 6-7, 20-21; March 6-7, 20-21 and has asked if people from the CSLN community would like to help them.
For more information about Room At The Inn and this opportunity to help our unhoused neighbors in Nashville, click on the link below. If you are called to volunteer, please contact admin@cslnashville.org.

Spiritual Mind Treatment
Laima Dickens, RScP
There is one Infinite Light. It is eternal, unchanging, and whole. It is the Power that moves through all creation, the Love that heals all wounds, the Intelligence that knows only good.
I am one with this Infinite Presence.
There is no separation between the Light and me. We are the same eternal flame. The breath that moves through my lungs is the breath of God.
In this awareness, I rise above all darkness.
Every burden is lifted, every false belief fades away.
I am guided by Divine Love and sustained by Divine Power.
The radiance of Spirit moves before me, clearing the way for healing, harmony, and grace. As I turn toward it, every shadow dissolves into truth. Love lifts me above fear. Peace replaces pain. I rise, renewed and radiant, knowing the Light of God is all there is, all I am, and all I ever need.
I give thanks for this awakening, and for the Light that never leaves me. I'm grateful for the strength that rises within me and for every dark night that taught me to see the stars.
I am grateful that I have remembered who I am, a perfect expression of God’s eternal Light.
I release my word to the Law of Mind in action knowing that this is already done. And so it is.
