SMYAL’s Rise Up!

A free youth leadership conference for anyone ages 13-24, that explores what it means to be a young queer organizer today. This year’s theme is Art in Activism: Igniting Change Through Art + Organizing. Our inspiring lineup of speakers, workshops, and performances will empower youth to make a difference through arts and activism.

Workshops will focus on everything from the intersection of race and queerness, to creating sustainable activism practices, to exploring how we can expand our scope to include transformative and healing justice in our organizing. 

Who: LGBTQ+ and allied youth ages 13-24

Where: 1 day virtual, 1 day in-person in Washington, DC
