At Art Avenue, we believe every sale is a miracle.

Whether we are helping nurture local talent or raising funds for our favorite nonprofits, we're committed to making meaningful change in our Sarasota community and beyond—all while beautifying your wall spaces with quality art you love.

As an international art gallery with two main locations: Crossings at Siesta Key and Downtown Sarasota, we host a variety of live events from Artist Openings and Exhibitions to Art Auctions (every FIRST Friday of the month!), Fundraisers, Workshops, Dance Classes, Meditations, Paint Bar Classes, and more.

Our Artists On Display

This month, we are particularly excited to spotlight two local artists-in-residence at Art Ovation Hotel, both of whom we are proud to represent at our Art Avenue galleries: Megan Howell and Kelly Kearns.

Megan Howell is an origami artist/teacher, painter, photographer, and custom framer, as well as the creator of Sarasota's only private storytelling and origami social club, The Purple Room.

By day, Megan helps people find their way home. By night, she paints maps. As the founder of Second Heart Homes, she has helped provide permanent housing to more than 80 men and women who once experienced homelessness and mental illness.

Her exhibition, Maps To Nowhere, was inspired by wandering the streets of New York City and observing the patterns, pathways, and unseen connections that shape a place. Through abstraction, her work explores movement, belonging, and the search for direction.

Kelly Kearns is a Sarasota-based artist and former photographer of 25 years, creating sophisticated architectural pop art from her Main Street studio.

Inspired by iconic Sarasota landmarks, her bold, dynamic works on cradled hardwood capture the city's elegance, culture, and coastal charm.

Kelly is a volunteer at Second Heart Homes and is on the Board of Directors at The Sarasota Farmer's Market. More of Kelly's acrylic work is proudly on display at Art Avenue gallery on Main Street in Downtown Sarasota.

Art Avenue is proud to partner with Behavior Teaching Solutions, offering creative workshops at both Sarasota gallery locations, including Language of Love—exploring healing, belonging, and emotional wellness through music, movement, poetry, and guided conversation, for neurodivergent children, teens, and adults alike.

From neighborhood events in Florida to behavioral science summits in Southeast Asia and the Middle East, Behavioral Teaching Solutions creates meaningful change through its inclusive events, creative collaborations, and advocacy rooted in science and compassion.

For those who may not already know, Paul has an autistic son named Alex. The endearing father-son duo can be found sight-reading their classical favorites, from Beethoven to Schubert, at various Behavioral Teaching Solutions events, including Cook & Connect—with Paul on the violin and Alex on the piano.
