Art Avenue is an international art gallery, proud to support local non-profits, host annual fundraising events, and hold monthly art auctions in our gallery spaces.
When you attend one of our live events or purchase art from us, you get more than just beautiful decor for your walls. You contribute to making a meaningful change in our community, from supporting Sarasota's local talent to raising funds for outstanding non-profit organizations like Second Heart Homes.
We offer Paint Bar classes for aspiring artists of all ages and abilities, host artist openings, exhibitions, workshops, auctions, fundraisers, dance classes, meditations, and so much more!

Second Heart Homes is a local charity who is near and dear to Art Avenue owner, Paul Sykes' heart. They address homelessness by providing permanent housing, support, and love to almost 80 formerly homeless men and women living with mental illnesses.
Second Heart Homes currently owns 13 homes in this community and is providing housing to get people off the streets and into the lives they deserve. They don't take any government funding, so they can give individualized care.

Join us for our 5th annual "Hands Up For Homes" Art Auction for Second Heart Homes. Paul Sykes, owner of Art Avenue is hosting the event and donating an original Salvador Dalí piece from The Divine Comedy: Dante's Inferno, to benefit the charitable auction.
The remaining artwork has been curated from 15 local artists and includes a featured piece by one of the SHH residents, Nick.
This year, Joe Henson is the featured artist. Join us for a reveal of a surprise painting of one special volunteer!
Enjoy an evening of live piano, free sushi, and an art auction that will touch your heart!

Before he was a seasoned art dealer representing investment-level works by Salvador Dalí, Pablo Picasso, Henri Matisse, and Peter Max, Paul Sykes was a classically trained violinist. "The violin saved my life as a child," he says.

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the untimely passing of Joseph Palmerio—cherished local artist, husband, father, and friend.
To celebrate Joseph's life and artistic legacy, Art Avenue has been entrusted with the honor of curating a memorial exhibition. More than 140 of Joseph's artworks will be on display and available to purchase.
We warmly invite friends, family, art collectors, fellow artists, and members of the community to join us in celebration of his life and art.
