A Profound Experience...
Testimonial by Eva B.
One of our new satellites, Cloquet, has provided more than 110 ministry services this year and has two at-capacity women's support groups starting up this fall, with a waiting list that fills more than two more groups. We praise God for what he's doing in the lives and communities of those we serve!

I joined an Authentic Hope women’s support group in Cloquet to become more familiar with Door of Hope and their ministry.

When I arrived, the leaders put me at ease with their kindness and acceptance and made me feel like it was okay to just be me.

The materials were Biblical, practical, life-changing and encouraging. The Holy Spirit ministered to us through the materials, prayer, encouragement and each other. Every week the bond between us strengthened - a beautiful picture of the Body of Christ.

When I heard of Trauma Recovery Prayer sessions, I knew God had brought them to town for me, if no one else. I had been sensing things rising up within me that needed to be dealt with : I had become less and less tolerant of criticism/lack of acceptance by others. It was affecting close relationships with people I really love!

Even though I was concerned how it might go, I made an appointment. You see, earlier I had had life-changing prayer ministry where suppressed memories surfaced...which awakened deep pain. I tried to get myself ready, in case Trauma Recovery Prayer turned out to be like that.

Instead, in the prayer session, the painful memories were framed by Jesus, and His Love and Presence. Bringing Him into the memories was a profound experience!  The way the healing came forth was such a surprise!

By bringing Jesus and His Love into the memories, Jesus changed how I respond to others and how I view myself. The adversely affected relationships are healthier than they have been in a long time, truly healed.  Even if no one else saw the difference, I did. But it has been noticed!

God is sooo good and faithful to guide my steps right into this blessing.

Diane (Global Director) and Aimee (Cloquet Director) were wonderful in waiting on the Lord, gentle, patient and happy for me. What a treasure these two are to me and to this work!

I praise God for this life-changing ministry!
