Greetings!
With growing concerns about the new Omicron variant, please see this information from the California Department of Public Health, and continue to take necessary health precautions. Vaccinations are widely available, for children aged 5+ and adults, and boosters for those already vaccinated. Together we can stay #PacificaStrong and healthy over this holiday season.
Speaking of holidays, and giving, the City’s Economic Development Division and Committee are developing the “Shop Pacifica” community gift card program and they need your help to do two things: First, encourage your favorite Pacifica businesses to register for free for the program by going to the Shop Pacifica website. Secondly, encourage everyone you know to buy a Shop Pacifica gift card on Shop Pacifica either for themselves or to give as gifts. Then go out and use it! Several businesses are already accepting the Shop Pacifica gift card. More information about this program is provided, below.
If you visit a Pacifica business that hasn’t yet registered for the Shop Pacifica gift card program, please encourage them on the spot to register by telling them about it and giving them the link. The City has sent hundreds of communications to businesses to get them to register, but registration has been slow (although it has only been one week since launching the program).
Thank you for being an ambassador of Shop Pacifica by taking these actions and helping local businesses find their way out of the economic impacts of the pandemic!
Sincerely,
Kevin Woodhouse
City Manager

Earthquake Brace and Bolt Program
|
|
Registration for the 2021 Earthquake Brace + Bolt (EBB) program has been extended. Homeowners in EBB ZIP Codes can register now through Thursday, December 9, 2021.
EBB helps homeowners lessen the potential for damage during an earthquake by offering $3,000 toward a seismic retrofit for houses that qualify.
This year, EBB is also offering an additional Supplemental Grant (SG) to income-eligible homeowners. If your household annual income is $72,080 or less, you may qualify for a SG that could pay for up to 100 percent of your seismic retrofit. SG funds are limited.
If your house has not previously received a qualifying retrofit and meets, EBB Program requirements, register now before it’s too late.

Shop Pacifica Community Gift Card Program
|
|
Pacifica businesses are encouraged to sign-up for the City of Pacifica's free community gift card program! Once your business is activated in Yiftee (our technology partner assisting with the launch of this exciting program), Pacifica residents and visitors can use a gift card purchased from the Shop Pacifica website at your business. By using the community gift card, those dollars stay in Pacifica and benefit our community!
Several local businesses are ready to accept payment via the community gift card; such as Mazzetti's Bakery, Moonraker Restaurant, Roundtable Pizza, and A Grape in the Fog Wine Bar. You can even use the community gift card at the City of Pacifica to pay for classes offered through the Parks, Beaches, and Recreation Department! For a full list of participating places, see the " Where can I use the gift card" webpage (please note, the webpage will be updated frequently as new businesses are added into the program).
For more information about this program, please click here. Businesses interested in signing up will need to contact Yulia Carter, Chief Financial Sustainability Officer, at [email protected] or by calling 650-501-6004. Thank you for supporting local businesses!
