Baltimore to Dewey Beach
Team RISE for Autism made their way from Baltimore to Dewey Beach on August 3, 2018. Team RISE for Autism Century Riders began at 5:00 am and rode through the morning dark, the pouring rain and the intense wind. This years 100 mile or 50 mile charity supported ride to Dewey Beach was not only challenging but extremely rewards. RISE for Autism had the best year yet with 28 riders and over $19,000 in team fundraising. Pictured to the right is our Top Fundraiser Trent Walklett.

Lifeline100 - October 7, 2018
An event for Awareness and Promotion of Cycling, RISE for Autism was a Charity Partner for the Fifth Annual Lifeline100 held at Kinder Farm Park. Lifeline100 promotes cycling awareness, safety, and it's major benefits has grown every year and continues to be a day event that expressed local community riders and families of all abilities to enjoy Anne Arundel County. This amazing event in total had over 840 registrants, while 73 of them road with Team Cycle for Autism (RISE for Autism). It offered a unique organized ride experience for cyclist of all ages and abilities with scenic 100 and 65 mile routes on road and paved trail and 30 and 15 mile routes on paved trail only. One of our main supporters, a Premier Sponsor of Lifeline100 and RISE for Autism Board Member, Michael Antlitz, owner of Prophasys, has facilitated more outreach to cyclist with Special Needs. Together, Prophasys and RISE for Autism have built a partnership with BikeAAA - Lifeline100 to implement and support a local community ride to meet the needs of all riders and all abilities. RISE for Autism also was a beneficiary of this event and received a $2,500 Sponsorship for our upcoming 2019 iCan! Shine Bike Camp. RISE for Autism will be hosting their Fourth Annual Week-Long Bike Program in Anne Arundel County. iCan! Shine is a non-profit organization that teaches individuals with disabilities to ride a conventional two-wheel bicycle through it's iCan! Bike program. This camp allows 35 participants and 100 volunteers to attend one 75-minute session for five days. Using adapted equipment, trained professionals and the support of volunteers, within the five days over 80% of participants learn to ride a conventional bicycle independently. We are looking forward to next year.
