"The Church of the Open Door"

Knowing that all community is a gift of God,

we affirm there can be no exclusiveness about the body of Christ.

We welcome into our community and membership all people of God, regardless of ethnic heritage, national origin, age, gender,

marital status, sexual orientation, or socioeconomic standing;

and we encourage the full participation of all

in the life of our congregation.

PHILIPSTOWN FOOD PANTRY

serving those in need in our local community

Food Pantry Coordinator, Kirsti "Kiko" Lattu

WILL YOU HELP THE FOOD PANTRY?

We need drivers to pick up our food from the Regional Food Bank in Montgomery, on Friday, August 1, 15, 29, and possibly September 5.

You'll need a truck, van, or large SUV. 2 Subarus work well. Boxes weigh up to 50 lbs though few are that heavy. Loading dock time is 8:30 or 8:45am and it's 40-45 min away. We have volunteers on hand to unload at the Food Pantry at 9:30.

We'd love to recruit new drivers to help out once a month, or even once every 2-3 months. Click below to email us.

The Food Pantry is now accepting food donations and doing set-up on Fridays 9:30-11:30 am

The Food Pantry is open on Saturdays

8:30 - 10 am

Our Monthly Book Group

The next meeting will be at the home of Cathy Carnevale, 10 Fair Street, on Friday, July 25 at 7:00 pm, when we will discuss Snow Falling on Cedars by David Gutersen.

All are Welcome!

Photos from this past Sunday!

Rev. Martha Louise shared a version of

The Lord's Prayer from her pilgrimage to Iona:

Creator and kin, as near as breath,

and yet far beyond our understanding,

holy is your name.

Your new reality come, your justice be done, here and now.

May we feed each other, as you feed us.

You hold us in grace when we don't 'get it'.

May we hold others in grace too.

May we resist complacency,

and strive for justice and peace,

For all people, and all times. Amen.
