and we encourage the full participation of all

in the life of our congregation.

Happy New Year Beloveds.

I pray that the Christmas season and the new year finds you in the ways that you need to be found. While I spent much of last week easing into 2026, this week has been lots of using my brain and planning and scheduling and dreaming about this year amidst the chaos of the world around us. Which I’ll admit feels hard.

An anchor for me has to be the promise of epiphany that comes with our travels and learnings once the Christ child finds us. I don’t really make or believe in New Year’s resolutions but I’m really into the promise of new things in an old world.

This Sunday we’ll remember our baptisms and recount the story of Jesus’ own, we’ll sing, we’ll worship. I truly believe that worship and community in the face of all that surrounds us is extremely counter cultural. So let’s gather together?

Stewardship Campaign for 2026

Update: We are so grateful to the 26 households whose pledges total over $91,000 towards our goal of $100,000!

Please add your commitment to theirs!

Use the link to access your Estimate of Giving form

THE 2026 PER CAPITA amount is $41.31.

This is the amount that our church must send to the Presbytery and National Church, per member, for their support. Of this amount, $11.26 goes to the General Assembly (or PCUSA), $4.25 to the SYNOD of the Northeast, and $25.80 to the Hudson River Presbytery.

You may pay your per capita however you normally donate to the church, with the designation “per capita 2026”.  Thank You.

You can use our QR code to donate to the church

or the Food pantry,

and also make a recurring pledge.

We need your support and appreciate your generosity!

Who did a GOOD DEED this week?

Check out John Wunderlich’s smile—and his vehicle FULL of food donations!

John just celebrated his 70th birthday and, in his own words, didn’t need more “stuff.” Instead, he invited friends at his birthday party to donate food for the Food Pantry.

Have a birthday coming up? We’d love to share the Pantry’s priority list!

Thank you, John—and wishing you many happy returns from the Philipstown Food Pantry!
