CSLN ANNOUNCEMENTS

NEW!

New Minister Candidate Weekend

December 12-14

After interviewing several applicants, the New Minister Selection Committee and CSLN's Board is pleased to present a candidate to be our new minister to the community. While we were targeting a candidate weekend in January, we have decided to proceed with the Candidate Weekend before the holidays. Please mark your calendars for the weekend of December 12-14. More details regarding the candidate and the weekend will be shared at Conversations and Coffee with Rev. Cath after the service this Sunday. After the Candidate Weekend, all members of CSLN will receive a ballot with the choice to hire our candidate or continue our search. We'll see you this Sunday!

Bellevue Community Food Bank Update

Neighbors, friends, strangers, people, are hungry and food banks everywhere are struggling. You may have seen the stories on the local and national news.

Your local Bellevue Community Food Bank (hosted at Bellevue United Methodist Church) continues to make a huge impact on our neighbors who are experiencing food insecurity. The food bank has a director and 36 volunteers.

Thanks to the generosity of the Bellevue community and partners, food and essentials were provided to almost representing over 3,700 families in 2024 and has continued through 2025 to over a thousand individuals. 98% of those served live in Bellevue and the remaining people are our neighbors in Fairview and Pegram and the connecting Zip-Codes.

Spiritual Mind Treatment

Laima Dickens, RScP

There is one Presence and one Power in this Universe—peaceful, steady, and eternal. It is the unchanging Source behind all change. It is the calm beneath the waves, the stillness at the center of all movement. This Presence is God, and It is perfect peace.

I am one with this Presence. I do not stand separate from it—I am surrounded by it, supported by it, and infused with it. The peace of God flows through my breath, my heartbeat, my very being.

No matter what appears around me, I remain anchored in peace. Change may come, but it does not shake me. Uncertainty may rise, but I do not fear it. I am rooted in the Eternal. I breathe deeply and allow Divine calm to fill every part of me. In this moment, I am safe. I am supported. I walk through change with grace. I choose peace in the midst of transition.

I give thanks for this deep and lasting peace that holds me steady. I am grateful for the strength and serenity that lives within me. I give thanks for the trust that grows stronger with every breath.

I now release these words into the Law, knowing that peace is already mine. I let it be. And so it is.
