Prayer for Great Plains Lutheran High School |
Heavenly Father, as another school year at Great Plains Lutheran High School draws to a close, bless the final weeks of instruction and learning. Be with all of the students as they transition to summer activities. Especially, we pray, let your hand of blessing be upon the 2023 graduates as they prepare for further training and embark upon lives of service. Thank you for all those who have faithfully served throughout the year, teaching, supporting, and encouraging our youth to be courageous in Christ. Bless their efforts to your glory. Amen.

We therefore began calling for Principal in October. The most recent call has been extended to Dr. Benjamin Washburn. Ben is a 1997 MLC graduate, in his 10th year of.......READ MORE

As of mid-April, we have received 28 freshman applications for the 2023-2024 school year. As parents of eighth graders think about where their children will attend high school, thank you for anything and everything you do to tell the GPL story and to encourage families and students to find out more about the blessings of attending GPL. Application and enrollment information is available on our website.

The game will be played at KO Stadium on the campus of Augustana University in Sioux Falls. We are excited to see RJ cap off his excellent high school football career with this honor. Scrip’s New Processing Procedure
In order to save on shipping costs, and to enable our Scrip volunteers to come in once a week rather than twice a week, we are implementing a new order processing procedure. In April we began processing orders on Tuesdays, with orders sent to you the following week. Please note this timing when placing your order. And thank you for using Scrip! Also, we are still in need of some volunteers for processing Scrip. If you are interested, please contact Sarah Roloff at 605-886-0672.

Mission Advancement Thoughts
I recently had the privilege of traveling with our Honor Choir on a weekend mini-tour. We made stops in Pierre at the State Capital, and at our churches in Rapid City, Spearfish and Mobridge. The venues and our hosts were wonderful! But what was even more amazing and encouraging was seeing and hearing these 22 young Christians singing their hearts out. I wish you all could have been there! It was simply a wonderful, heartwarming weekend of praise to our risen and living Savior.
This is the kind of thing your..............READ MORE
