GPLHS Monthly Update
January 2021
Prayer for Great Plains Lutheran High School
Heavenly Father, in this Epiphany season, you make it clear to us through your Word that your Son, Jesus Christ, is true God and Savior of all. We ask that through that same Word you would strengthen the faith of the students attending Great Plains Lutheran High School and bless Christian education efforts wherever they take place. We also ask, O Lord, that you bless the construction taking place on the GPL campus. As we look forward to another year of grace, bless GPLHS with the opportunity to work with many more students and families. May all we do be to the glory of God. Amen.

Facility Expansion Progress
After a few delays due to the weather and COVID-19 within the construction crew, our facility expansion is moving along nicely. The favorable December weather enabled crews to make up some time and continue moving forward. Footings and foundation work were completed before Christmas; structural steel began going up in mid-December as well.
Our project is currently 2-4 weeks behind the original schedule. With additional crew members and favorable conditions, we hope to make up more time in the weeks and months ahead. The current schedule calls for the Kitchen/Commons to be completed in September, and the Chapel/Auditorium/Music Room to be completed in October. God continues to bless us through the gifts and prayers offered on behalf of this project.

Finishing Touches
Finishing Touches is now one of the key priorities of our United in Praise capital campaign. Finishing Touches is our effort to provide all of the items needed to furnish and equip our new facilities for student and activity use. The cost of these items is not included in the construction price. We have created a wish list that describes the items that individuals or groups can fund in part or in full. Those who are interested can check online to see a current list of needed items and progress toward the goal. You can find the wish list and see the progress by CLICKING HERE.
Blessed Through Estate Gifts
During the course of this year (2020), Great Plains Lutheran High School was blessed to receive six estate gifts totaling $1,258,448. These gifts came through estate planning instruments including beneficiary designations and charitable gift annuities. We thank God for leading his people to remember GPLHS and other gospel ministries in their...

Relatives, parents of former students, friends - anyone with an interest in GPL students and programs can volunteer. These additional volunteers will be a great blessing as we seek to provide a quality experience for our students and guests to our campus.
