For those of you on Instagram (or for those who are not, you’ll now want to be…), check out the City of Pacifica Economic Development Committee’s account @DiscoverPacifica. The Committee is undertaking many different efforts to help support Pacifica businesses and promote Pacifica to visitors, and their @DiscoverPacifica page will be evolving with many beautiful scenes from Pacifica. Make sure to include #DiscoverPacifica in your posts, so the Discover Pacifica account can like yours. And while you’re exploring Instagram, also follow the City’s account at @city_of_pacifica_official and my own City account @pacificacm.

In other news, please see the announcement about a virtual meeting to be held by the City of San Bruno on Monday, June 21, about mountain lion safety. Pacificans are welcome and encouraged to attend. Also, with July 4^th just around the corner, please take note of a press release regarding enforcement efforts, and consequences, for fireworks usage. Fireworks safety is more critical than ever this dry year. Please follow all the rules for Safe & Sane fireworks usage, and please don’t use illegal fireworks.

The San Mateo County Public Health Office announced that as of June 15, 2021, San Mateo County fully aligns with all state COVID-19 health and safety guidance and has no plans to impose separate guidance.

However, as California and San Mateo County reopen, vaccinations remain key to ending the COVID-19 pandemic.
