A Note From Our Founder
Attitudes are changing, masks are coming off, and people are generally feeling much better about life. I hope you are too.

Unlike last year, a new momentum is changing us. If we keep a positive attitude, life can be great, positive energy is needed so we can move ahead and enjoy our lives again. You can be the one to change the attitudes of those around you.

“Be the reason someone smiles. Be the reason someone feels loved and believes in the goodness in people.” ― Roy T. Bennett, The Light in the Heart

There has been a shift in giving trends too. We are seeing more donor advised accounts naming Feeding Pets of the Homeless as the recipient. An increase of 24% from 2019 to 2020. We project a 50% increase during 2021.

Fidelity Charitable recently published a report that provides a wealth of information that may help you decide if this is right for you.

We recommend to always check with your legal and financial advisors about naming recipients for donor advised accounts.

May we keep focusing on the positive to help us move forward.

Warm thoughts and wishes,

Staff Spotlight
Clarissa Estrella-Medina recently joined the Feeding Pets of the Homeless team as receptionist. In her role, she helps us answer calls and collect data as well as providing resources for anyone who needs them.

When asked what she wished others knew about the homeless population she said, "A lot of people ask why the homeless have pets and sometimes life happens and that's the only thing they have left in life. Those pets are their best friends and would do anything for them."

Three words Clarissa would use to describe Feeding Pets of the Homeless are generous, helpful and heroes.

Welcome to the team, Clarissa!
Wellness Clinic
Last month, we hosted a vaccination clinic with Catholic Charities and Galena Veterinary Hospital in Reno, Nevada. In total, the generous veterinarians, who donated their and their staff's time, examined and vaccinated 74 pets.

We are excited to start hosting our wellness clinics again!
