August Programming

in Adult Services

Registration required for all adult programs unless otherwise noted. Click the image of each program for registration information.

Join us for a unique presentation by Mallory Mortillaro, Curator of Collections for the Hartley Dodge Foundation in Madison, NJ, who fortuitously uncovered a masterpiece by Auguste Rodin that had been lost to the art world since the 1930s, and became one of the biggest art finds in recent history.

Join us for an evening with local author Joe Ziemba, whose new nonfiction book showcases a time when players lacked equipment protection, gangsters interrupted NFL games, and players worked second jobs during the professional football season. Books will be available to purchase and autographed by the author.

Local author William Hazelgrove presents the story of Chicago during the darkest days of the Great Depression and how the city fought back against organized crime to host the 1933 World’s Fair. Books will be available to purchase and autographed by the author.

Join us at BPL for August craft programs!
