SUNDAY, May 12th
A Prayer
for Mother’s Day

On this special day set aside to honor mothers, we pray for a special blessing for each and every one of them.

May all of the work of her hands not be forgotten in Your sight.

Let her example to her children be a guiding light in their lives, and may wisdom be passed down to the next generation of mothers.

Noteworthy Info:
Thank you to Girl Scouts Daisy Troop 382 for helping to make our church grounds beautiful!

During their last troop meeting, the Daisies planted inpatients around the Japanese Maple tree outside of the Sanctuary entrance as a way to say Thank You to GBUMC for providing a meeting space for their Troop.

Stop by and see the new addition to our landscaping!
Have YOU been to the garden?

GBUMC has a beautiful and peaceful place to sit and enjoy a mild, sunny day in the winter or to find a shady spot in the heat of the summer. The prayer garden sits surrounded by the church facilities and is there to be enjoyed by all.

The members of the Prayer Garden committee welcome donations and would like to express appreciation to those who have made recent contributions to the prayer garden.

Herb and Dale Harrell and Harper and Brenda Powell have donated funds for providing future enhancements as well as upkeep for the garden. A new addition to the garden is up lighting on the Bible verse located on the south wall of the garden just outside the office lobby area. If you are at church in the evening, check it out!

Anyone who desires to contribute to the prayer garden may do so by simply stating “for prayer garden” on the memo line of their check or writing it on their offering envelope. Willing workers are always welcome to assist in any chores to keep the garden in a beautiful state.
