There are so many things going on at Bloomingdale Public Library this month!

ENDS TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 28!

During the month of February donations of Move in Essentials (listed below) will be accepted at the Bloomingdale Village Hall, Library, Fire Department, and Park District (JRC) facilities. Donated items will be provided to Veterans who are exiting homelessness. Only new, store-bought items will be accepted.

Would you like a place to display your art? Consider being one of BPL's Artists of the Month! 

Each month we display one artist's work in our gallery in the stairwell and Take 5 Zone. Artists interested in displaying their work at the Bloomingdale Public Library can download a copy of the exhibition policies and necessary space request forms here. Completed forms can be sent by email to [email protected] or turned in to the business office during regular business hours. 

The Friends of the Library Perpetual Book Sale is back! Located on the stacks next to our Binge Boxes to the right of the Circulation desk, books and DVDs donated to the library are available for sale.

Hardcover books are $2 each

Everything else is $1 each

Do you have books no longer in use? BPL will take your donated books and the Friends will add them to their Perpetual Book Sale or sell them through their reseller. All funds raised from your donated books make their way back to the library as donated equipment, materials, prizes to support BPL reading programs, and more! The library has common federal income tax forms available to the public. Other forms may be printed at the library. To order additional federal forms,

To order state forms, call the Revenue Department at 1-800-356-6302

or download forms online at https://tax.illinois.gov/.

Bloomingdale Public Library will remain open during our regular hours. The procedures we currently have in place fit within the state's updated guidelines.

Wi-Fi Extended throughout Parking Lot

BPL has installed an exterior Wi-Fi antenna to our building so that our Wi-Fi signal now extends throughout our parking lot and Gazebo area. Residents without home Wi-Fi may now use this resource for remote learning, downloading of eBooks, audiobooks, magazines and more. We have designated the back row of our parking lot as the official Drive-Up Wi-Fi location and is signed as such. Please remember to keep up social distancing rules. Remember that this is a parking lot that is still used by the Village of Bloomingdale and others, so observe all safety precautions as normal. Wi-Fi is available 6:00am to 11:45pm every day.
