Virtual Art Exhibition

Join Astor's Expressive Arts Program, tomorrow, Wednesday, September 30th, for our first ever Virtual Art Expo & Auction!

These great works of art were produced by children in Astor’s Expressive Arts Program and many are in response to their feelings surrounding COVID-19 and the impact social-distancing and lockdown has had on them. Our students have worked so hard putting paintbrush to canvas, creating this show, and are thrilled to share it with you!

Check your inbox tomorrow morning for your exclusive invite to the show!
Volunteer Spotlight
Dino Tutino

At the start of the pandemic, we quickly realized we needed to pivot from in-person to virtual fundraising events. With virtual events, comes a new set of skills and technology needed to make an event successful. With a small Development team and limited resources, we called upon our colleagues at Catholic Charities of New York to help us put a call out for volunteers and were extremely lucky to have Dino Tutino answer our call!

Dino has been a videographer and film editor for over 30 years and helped us produce our first ever Virtual Art Expo & Auction. His expertise, professionalism, and dedication to Astor and the children we serve over the past month has been so appreciated! Dino, we thank you!

If you have a project and are in need of an outstanding videographer or editor, please reach out to Dino Tutino at
Sincere Thanks...
Like so many non-profits, we have been impacted by COVID-19. Although our sites were closed up until recently (except for the Residence which remained open 24/7), we needed to convert over 500 employees to remote work, pivot the way we deliver services to telehealth, and ensure our most vulnerable clients were receiving the financial assistance they needed to survive.

We want to thank the following foundations and organizations who assisted us with emergency funding to ensure our new infrastructure needs were met.

Astor's Golf Outing

On September 1st, Astor's Golf Committee members hosted a day on the greens at the prestigious Powelton Club in Newburgh, NY.

With staggered tee times to ensure the safety of our golfers, it was a beautiful day on the course and helped us raise much-needed funds for the children and families we serve. A special thank you to our Golf Committee, sponsors, golfers, and the Powelton Club for a fun and safe outing!
