Sanctuary & Hillside Worship Series
"STAYCATION: A Summer Spirituality and Sermon Series"
Has the pandemic quashed your big summer vacation travel plans? What better time to opt for a staycation! This six-week summer sermon series will boost your spirit and remind you that our mission to love God and love people doesn’t require travel at all. In fact, in times like these, maybe the greatest love one can give is to our own community!
Sunday Worship ARTChurch - August 30 @ 10:30 am
"A Theology of Threshing?"
The threshing floor is the place where the grain gets separated from the chaff. The intersection of childhood perspectives on bible stories with adult understandings about faith requires some threshing! Our artist photographed her own threshing as "a symbolic reference to the process of discerning where truth remains for me... The questioning is the journey; the questioning is the answer."
Join us for ARTChurch as we look for images that help us to "Stay-cation" in place - take stock, stand still on the threshing floor of your life - and separate the grain from the chaff - to discover what really matters.
Prayer for This Sunday:
Source of Life, of all that has been, of all that is, and of all that is yet to come: we come to You, with all that we are and all that we have, with all that we are not and all that we have not, to encounter the sacred, in ourselves and in our neighbours, for it is there! Spirit of all things great and small, awaken us, we pray. Guide us and show us what matters! As we pray, as we seek You, as we see You in each other, even as we come to worship - may we be attentive, so that we can see You, great God of diversity, in every moment, in every place, in every face. Amen.

Sign up and Join Us For Rally Sunday Coming September 13!
Rally Sunday is the worship service where we kickoff the church’s program year and re-covenant to ‘be the church’. Most years, it serves as a homecoming of sorts: we welcome back those who have been away for the summer, celebrate how good it is to be together in community, and recommit ourselves to the work of gospel love in the months to come. While the pandemic will prevent us from holding Rally Sunday in person, we still plan to kick the day off in style. What’s more, we need your help to do it!
