Reminder:
COVID-19 Staff Holiday April 6–11

Worship with Stone Church
of Willow Glen

Sunday, April 11
9:30 a.m.
Note from Pastor Hardy
Dear Friends,

This week our church offices are closed so that the church staff can enjoy a “COVID Holiday.” This is a period of rest that was granted to your staff by session, in recognition of the fact that they have had to stretch and grind through many challenges that have been brought on by the pandemic.

I am grateful to the leadership of our congregation for their thoughtful consideration of the well-being of staff. I also feel blessed to be part of a staff that—in partnership with all of our lay leaders, volunteers, and congregation members—have continued to find ways of being an active and vital church during these strange times.

I hope that, in this Easter season, you will also find ways to enjoy rest and refreshment. This journey of faithfulness to God’s call that we are on together is not a short one. It’s lifelong, and requires us to take care of ourselves so we can keep striving alongside the God who works for the liberation of all.

This upcoming Sunday I hope you will join us as we visit with Stone Church Willow Glen in San Jose. Rev. Sammie Evans and the whole community have graciously invited us in, and I look forward to continuing to celebrate the miracle of Easter with them.

Peace,
News from Pastor Karin
Dear Friends,

What a wonderful Easter celebration that was last Sunday! I’m grateful to all who made it possible.

As you know, the church staff have been taking a bit of a breather this week with the office (which really means our computers in our homes) closed so that we can take a break from the on-going cycle of work and worship. We are deeply grateful for a break even from such meaningful work as ours.

I am looking forward to worshiping with Stone Church at 9:30 a.m. this Sunday and I hope to see you there. What a gift to be able to join with another church from our presbytery and experience their worship and lift our hearts in worship together.

I’ll see you there and then back at our normal worship time on April 18.

Have a great weekend!

Peace,
